Dr Robin Jackson
Dr Robin Jackson has been the Innovation Manager for the University of Exeter for 4 years. He is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of the University’s Intellectual Property (IP) Policy and the commercial exploitation of the institution’s IP. Robin participates on the boards of a number of the University spin-out companies. He is also responsible for the development and management of the Innovation Exeter initiative to nurture knowledge-driven ventures in the sub-region. Whilst a postgraduate and postdoctoral researcher in the Biochemistry Department at Imperial College London, he was responsible for supervising a variety of commercial projects. One of these projects resulted in the formation of the spin-out Agrol Ltd., in which he participated from innovation, through start-up and two rounds of finance. After leaving Agrol he was involved in the formation of a biotech and a computer services company, before moving to Devon with his family.
